Live Journal Connection

It turns out that our biggest spike in traffic came from Live Journal traffic. So, I guess when we post new comics and what not we really need to make a post about it on our own Live Journal pages. And let it disseminate from there.

The second biggest source of traffic is of course from the main AnimeHELL site. Which makes sense.

It actually showed up on the day I got the shipping e-mail. So, it's pretty fast. I'll bring the demo book to the Sunday meeting, 9pm. See it there.

We had a record number of visitors to the HNK website yesterday. A whopping 12 visitors. To help that I've put up a link on the front page of http://www.animehell.org to direct some traffic to HNK.

I'm currently coding OtakuHELL.org to be the shopping page for HNK. I'll direct traffic to OtakuHELL to sell the book and tee shirts and calendars and what not.

Convention/Street Teams

While thinking about a fanclub and promotion I remembered "Street Teams." They do promotion by giving posters and fliers and the like to team members who go around spreading the promotional material. If we could recruit Team Members who go to cons that we don't go to and have them put out fliers on freebie tables?

How to run a fanclub

Ok, I've been thinking about this and I'm stumped. How do we run a HNK fanclub? Any thoughts or ideas?

Folks sign up and then we'll have a mailing list, right? But what do the fanclub members get besides on a mailing list?

Ok, here's what I've come up with: Put a paypal button on the website. If somebody donates a buck we send them a signed Katie photo, a "Letter from Nurse Katie," and I don't know maybe a "Official Hell Nurse Fanclub Certificate?"

New name, still the production blog

To stop the confusion with the Official Hell Nurse Katie website/blog I've renamed this production blog, "The HNK Project." That should do the trick!

We had an operator head space error but I finally figured it all out and we'll have more content up on hellnurse.com this week. Hopefully with fewer goofs on my part...

More to do, more done.

We're working up updating the HNK website this week. We'll be starting a Pinup Calendar contest and hope to have it done the same time the book goes to the printer. In the mean time I'm busy thumbing a story up and doing a few pinups for the website. And maybe a rough of the cover for the book...
